ESPN?- Lance Armstrong will admit to doping during his famed cycling career in an upcoming interview with Oprah Winfrey, according to USA Today Sports. The newspaper cites a source who says that while Armstrong will confess, it is unlikely he will go into specific details about his doping. The interview will tape Monday, but won?t air until Thursday. According to Winfrey?s website on Tuesday, this will be a ?no-holds-barred interview? with Armstrong, who was stripped of seven Tour de France titles in October. It will be the first interview with Armstrong since his cycling career crumbled under the weight of a massive report by the U.S. Anti-Doping Agency. The report detailed accusations of drug use by Armstrong and teammates on his U.S. Postal Service teams. It caused him to lose most of his personal corporate sponsors, and he recently stepped down from the board of Livestrong, the cancer-fighting charity he founded in 1997.

Oprah?s cool I guess? I mean at least he?s not doing a sit down interview with the ageless douchebag Bob Costas. Hearing that 85 year old, 4 foot twerp drop another monologue about doping and society and role models and blah blah blah who gives a fuck would drive me to the point of actual insanity.
Anyway in the grand scheme of things this is a whole lot of nothing. Lance Armstrong is one of, if not the, biggest frauds in athletic history. Outside of the (still) incredible comeback from cancer the only reason anyone ever gave a fuck about what he did was because he was shoving American success right in the face of everyone in the world riding a bike around France. Outside of that not a single person in this country cares about competitive bike riding past the age of 12. If his reign of success is?fraudulent, everything about his athletic achievements are essentially useless from a fan perspective. It?s not like his impact is felt in deeper corners of the game like Bonds and Clemens.?Cycling blows and Lance was the only reason anyone ever pretended to think about it.
Just a few more days of this media circus and we can stop hearing about this for a long time and Lance can continue on with his storied career as an asshole marathon runner.
