What YOU Need to Know About Moms Night Out! | New Orleans ...

Moms Night Out, brought to you by Touro and Blo, is right around the corner, and we wanted to give you more information about what to expect.

NOMB_logo5Can I buy tickets at the door??Unfortunately, no. Tickets to this event (as well as raffle tickets) are only available for purchase online until July 31st at 11:59pm to be exact (but who is counting the minutes?!). If you have not already bought your ticket, you can do so HERE! We would love to have you join us.

So where do I go? And when? The event is being generously hosted at the Louisiana Children?s Museum. The doors open at 7:00pm, and all moms are encouraged to stay until 10:00pm (we?ll cut the birthday cake and draw giveaway winners around 9:15pm). As you arrive, you will be checked in, receive your awesome swag bag (estimated value of $100+) and a name tag. From there, your evening begins! Treat yourself to food, drinks, desserts and other special treats that vendors have on hand. Unless you plan to shop with some of our vendors, you won?t need to spend a dime inside the Museum!

What if I purchased or won a VIP ticket??If you are one of the lucky 30 moms who were able to purchase a VIP ticket with a dry style from Blo make sure you arrive to the Port of New Orleans (upstairs at LCM) in advance of your appointment so that you can grab a bite to eat and a fun drink before it?s time to get your hair done! You should have received an email from Blo with your assigned time, but you can also confirm your appointment time at the event itself.

And I heard there will be chair massages??If you are interested in a complimentary massage, you?ll head up to the second floor and walk inside the Talk and Play area to sign up with the lovely Jessica of NOLA Maternal Instincts. All appointments will be first come, first served.

Where should I park??If you plan to enjoy the complimentary Stack Wines or Cordina Cocktails, we strongly encourage you to take a cab and/or carpool (with a designated driver). That said, street parking is available, as well as the lots right near the Museum on Constance and Magazine. Please note that August 10th is the same night as Dirty Linen (in the French Quarter), so you might want to give yourself a little extra time to navigate downtown.

What should I bring??Make sure to bring your ticket, as well as your ID, to be checked at the door. Bring cash and credit cards (for parking and shopping), but leave those bottles and diaper bags at home! All food and drinks are being generously provided by our sponsors, and there will be lots of fun shopping to check out. And, please don?t forget to bring a school supply item (or two) to donate them to CASA Jefferson. We would love to be able to help out this awesome cause.

So what happens at the sponsors? tables? You?ll have to wait and see!?Every sponsor table at the event will have something fun just for you. You didn?t think the swag ended with the swag bags, did you? Make sure you stop by to meet all of our amazing sponsors, learn more about them, and see what they have generously provided for the event. It could be champagne, it could involve brie, or it could be a free gift just for you!

What?s the deal with raffle tickets??Every mom will receive one raffle ticket upon entrance to the museum. If you purchased (or won) more raffle tickets, you will be handed those tickets in an envelope with your name on it. You will be able to view all nine giveaway packages at the event and decide which jar (or jars) in which to place your tickets. We will be drawing names around 9:15pm, and you can stop by the giveaway table to check out giveaway board (created by Ashlee of Smallchalk) to see if you won and pick up your prizes. All winners must be present to claim their prizes.

What should I wear??This is a fun and classy event, but we want you to be comfortable too! When thinking of what to wear it might help if you just envision what you would normally feel comfortable in when you set out for a night on the town with girlfriends. Feel free to throw on a cute top, your favorite skinnies, or even a maxi dress! We have all struggled with what to wear at some point so in an effort to help you can check out our Moms Night Out Pinterest board for more information about the event and some outfit inspiration!

What if none of my friends are going?!?One of the main reasons we are passionate about hosting these events is that they allow us to have the opportunity to connect local moms. If you are new to the area, a novice to motherhood, or just in search of new mom friends we would love to meet you! Our contributor team?will be at the event mingling in the crowd (and manning the tables) and would love to help introduce you to some other moms. You won?t have any trouble spotting us because the whole team will be wearing NOLA t-shirts courtesy of Storyville and NOLA Mama necklaces from The Bead Shop.
