After Earth had a strong opening weekend to unseat Fast & Furious 6 from the top position at the Mexican box office. The sci-fi film averaged $3,387 from 1,561 screens for a $5.2 million debut. Fast & Furious 6 broke the $30 million mark with a $3 million weekend across a market-leading 1,725 screens. Fast & Furious 6 has a $31.5 million cume in Mexico. The weekend was otherwise slow, with The Great Gatsby failing to reach $1 million in its second weekend. Gatsby has stalled in Mexico with $3.7 million after two weeks in release.?
