Kelly Rassmussen: A Respected Specialist in the Travel Industry ...

Kelly Ray Rasmussen studied at Southern Oregon University from 1979 to 1981. From 1985 to 1986, he underwent studies at the Institute of Certified Travel Agents and obtained his Certified Travel Counselor (CTC) accreditation. This is a two-year minimum program having professional criteria and educational requirements that represent the highest standards of achievements and the devotion to the quest for excellence in the field of travel. From 1994 to 1995, Kelly Rasmussen attended Northwest Christian College and received a degree of Bachelor of Science with Honours CGPA 4.00.

Established in 1967, Jackson Travel Agency, Inc. has been in the travel business for more than 43 years. Since 1979, the Rasmussen family has taken ownership of the said company. From 1981 up to the present Kelly Ray Rasmussen has been with Jackson Travel. In 1991, he was declared its Vice-President. He expresses his personality as he says, ?I am one of the most ?balanced? people who strive to create better opportunities for all involved. I?m motivated, confident and responsible.? Last December 2010, Jackson Travel joined the Ensemble Travel Group, which is based in New York and Toronto, Canada. Being present in the business for over 40 years, this travel consortium is 900 agencies strong and uses its strength in numbers to provide discounts to its constituents.

Kelly Rasmussen pursues his other interests including media and sports. He joined the US Racquetball Tour from 1978 to 1980 and the Medford Rogue Rotary from 1986 to 2008. From 1987 to 2007, he was an Elder at the Applegate Christian Fellowship where he was tasked to oversee 51 Koinonia groups of 10 families each. Moreover, from 1993 to 2005, Kelly Rasmussen was a member of the Southern Oregon University Raider Board. He was Vice-President of the Medford Linebackers from 1986 to 2008, while he was its President from 1996 to 1998. He was the Spiegleberg Foundation Chair from 1995 to 2008. He was the Advisor to the National Office of the Northwest Region Youth for Christ Board from 1998 to 2006.

In addition, Kelly Ray Rasmussen was the Sports Consultant of the Head Team from 2004 to 2008. From 2005 to 2008, he was a member of the Medford Hall of Fame Board, Southern Oregon Fellowship of Christian Athletes Board and Rogue Valley Country Club Board. He was Racquetball Player of the Year for the state of Oregon, State and Regional doubles champion and Pro-am doubles champion in multiple tournaments from 2006 to 2008. Also from 2006 to 2008, Kelly Rasmussen was the Committee Chair for Programming and Marketing of the Britt Festivals Board, Chairman of the MeThinx Entertainment Board and a member of the Mercy Flights Board of Directors for Southern Oregon.
